Stephen Coles, our minister, following surgery to remove a large thyroid lump in May was diagnsoed with a very aggressive cancer in June. We are very pleased to confirm, however, that after much prayer throughout Torbay and beyond our Lord Jesus Christ has completely healed Stephen. A recent CT Scan showed that the cancer that was removed had not spread as it usually would. We are praising the Lord.
Hope Now - Ukraine
We are pleased to report that a full car load of Aid for Ukraine was taken to Hope Now in Southampton to head off on Monday 15th April. A big thank you to everyone who has donated items, and to David Dunbobbin who drove the 3.5 hours there and back.

Coffee Mornings. Your home from home at the Paignton Baptist Church Coffee Mornings happens on Friday mornings. We are open from 10.00 to 11.30 or so, Coffee, tea, soft drinks, biscuits and cake are available. There is also a puzzle table, for those who would like to have a quiet go at a jig-saw puzzle. All refreshments are free, so come along and make new friends in a relaxed environment in our Cross Link Centre. There is a basket for donations to charity, but there is no obligation or pressure to put in anything.
Boys' Brigade. All sections are now running, and we have been delighted to welcome some new Boys. There is plenty of room for more, so please come or tell families with Boys in the age range from five upwards. Times are: 5 to 8 years: 6.15 pm - 7.15 pm. 8 - 11: 7.15 - 8.30. 11 plus: 7.15 - 9. Don't forget that Girls are welcome at Girls' Brigade on Mondays from 5.50 pm. For further information, see the brigade entry in the "What's On" section of this website.
Paignton Community Larder
Donations can be handed in at services or prayer meetings, or any other time if you have a church key. Those without church keys are invited to pass items in between 12 noon and 2 pm, Mondays to Thursdays at the PCL. Items will be delivered to the Larder first thing on Monday mornings. All contributions are gratefully received.
The requirements this week are for donations of: cereal, custard, rice pudding, soup, tinned fish, tinned meals, and UHT milk. Please donate as you are able.
Cash Donations
Please note that the church is being charged for cash banking when this exceeds £2000 per month (which is nearly all months). All the amount is charged for, including the first £2000. The bank also charge for cheques in a similar way, but we receive fewer of these, so cheques instead of cash would be welcome. However, all donations, by whatever method, are very much appreciated. (On-line transfer or standing order direct to the bank do not attract any charge.) Please ask about Gift Aid, or to receive details of the church's bank account.
